A professional rainwater system firstly has to provide good water
quality with a high operation reliability. Secondly, the system has to
be low maintenance and easy to install. These high demands can only be
realized when during the development, production and installation these
factors are taken into account as well as the properties and
characteristics of the various components. If the before mentioned
demands are met, only then can a system receive the GEP "IRM" label. IRM
stands for Intelligent Rainwater Management.
IRM and standards
Rainwater systems must meet strict technical requirements that prevents
drinking water from coming in contact with rainwater. The requirements
are stated in technical regulations and publications such as the EN
1717. Systems certified by Belgaqua and KIWA meet these technical
standards, keep this in mind when buying a rainwater system. You can
review these certifications on the product pages.
